Written Directions (and Tips)
95 North to Augusta, ME
From the highway I-95 N, there are 2 exits to choose from in Augusta:

The 1st one is 109A (route 202 / 17) which brings you near grocery stores and a shopping center with a Sears and auto-repair facilities, fyi. Follow route 202 west into Manchester, then fork right to 17 north into Readfield, then at Kents Hill, bear right onto 41 north. Follow this through Mt. Vernon (passing the DEW Animal Kingdom on the right). Directions continue below... |
The 2nd choice, 112B (route 27) leads to many restaurants and more shopping choices (pick 112A for the shopping district). Follow route 27 north/west to Belgrade, then take a left on Castle Island Camps road. Follow to the end, where you take a left onto Belgrade Road. Follow into Mt. Vernon center, near the fire station. Bear right onto the North Road for 500 yards, until you stop at an intersection in front of a general store. Head left on 41 south for 500 yards, then turn right onto Seavey Corner Road (there's a little store on the corner). Directions continue below... |
Whichever route you choose (route 202/17 to route 41 through Manchester, or route 27 to Belgrade and Mount Vernon), you'll end up in Mt. Vernon center, where there's a nice lunch café and general store.
Turn onto the Tower Road (aka Seavey Corner Rd), and from there, a mile or so up, you take the first right (at Flying Pond lake), onto Klir Beck Road. Follow it as it becomes a dirt road, then bear right onto Therriault Drive. (Look for our painted sign on a tree.) You'll see mailboxes at this junction.
Follow this nice gravel road all the way to the first road on the left (you'll see a neighbor's garage on left just before). This is ours, Black Pond Road (see another Black Pond sign in a tree). Our house driveway is down on the left, #6. There's a blue roof on the house.
